In 1988, JEMB Realty’s Canadian affiliate acquired 5100 Sherbrooke East, a 10-story, 385,000 square-foot architecturally distinct office building, located steps from Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. Major renovations over the years have ensured the sustainability of the property, such as the construction of a multi-level parking structure to meet the need for greater parking space, the implementation of energy-efficient measures within the building permitting an annual reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 56%, a complete signage review, and automation of the exterior parking equipment.
The property was sold in 2011 with an occupancy rate of 100% and a tenant roster comprised of a high number of government agencies, public sector agencies, financial institutions and engineering firms.
